Etant donnés Contemporary Art aims to strengthen ties between France and the U.S. in the field of contemporary art by fostering active collaboration and encouraging long-lasting partnerships between French visual artists, curators, and collectives and American curators and cultural institutions. The fund supports the discovery of emerging talents, while also sustaining interest in established artists.

FACE Contemporary Theater

The FACE Contemporary Theater program fosters innovative artistic collaborations and co- productions in theater, and contributes to a dynamic intercultural dialogue between France and the United States. It aims to encourage projects that push aesthetic boundaries and reflect the cultural and artistic diversity seen in theater today.

French Voices recognize both the original work and the quality of the translation. A committee of independent professional experts selects works epitomizing the many facets of a vibrant French literary scene. Awards go to books representing new trends in fiction, or graphic novels and underrepresented perspectives or points of view in non-fiction.

Oui Design has been developed by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy and FACE Foundation, in order to foster creative exchange in design between France and the U.S. Launched in 2016, it is the first program initiated by the French Embassy to support fruitful and durable partnerships between design professionals on both sides of the Atlantic.

The French Dual Language Fund aims to expand and strengthen existing French dual language education programs throughout the country, and support the launch of new programs.

French Heritage Language Program - Je parle français

The French Dual Language Program provides high-quality bilingual education to children in public schools across New York City. Currently, 1,300 students are served by this program but the need is far greater with 22,000 children living in French-speaking homes with little or no access to education in French.

Community Colleges in France

The Community College in France Program seeks to identify promising students from underrepresented groups —who will then become “Ambassadors of France”— and offer them transformative educational experiences that promote the sharing of knowledge and know-how between France and the US.

Established in 2007 as a collaboration between the French government, American private donors and the FACE Foundation, the Partner University Fund is dedicated to amplifying the potential of the brightest French and American scholars by supporting educational and research partnerships between higher education institutions in both countries.

Launched in 2017, the Thomas Jefferson Fund supports new collaborations and the most innovative projects between promising young researchers in France and the United States. The Thomas Jefferson Fund aims to foster forward-looking collaborative research in the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences, of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and of Science for Society that addresses the most pressing global challenges.
